Painting Contractor Magazines

Magazines for painting contractors are not found in the abundance they used to be. In fact, at the writing of this article, there are only six widely circulated publications to choose from.

Painting Contractor Magazine

Below, find a list of painting contractor magazines in alphabetical order along with some information about the paint industry publications:

Painter’s Weekly – This publication focuses almost exclusively on how to increase the profitability of your painting business through more effective sales, marketing, hiring, and operational practices. You won’t find a whole lot of “technical info” about painting, but if you’re looking for info on growing your painting business, this is a great source. You can click here to subscribe – it’s free.

American Painting Contractor – American Painting Contractor is the oldest magazine for painting contractors. For over 90 years, APC has been the source for information that helps painters do more business and increase profits. Covering application techniques, recently introduced products, business strategies and industry news.

InPaint Magazine – InPaint Magazine delivers engaging and informative articles on the industry’s current trends in services and products, plus authoritative recommendations and reviews.

Professional Painting Contractor – PPC, or Professional Painting Contractor, offers important business growth information for painting contractors in the commercial and residential markets. Be up-to-date with the latest project developments, product updates and marketing/management tactics wherever you are. PPC is published by Sherwin Williams.

Professional Painter Magazine – Professional Painter serves the Canadian market for painting professionals and is produced/published by Dynamic Paint Products.

The Paint Contractor – The Paint Contractor is the companion publication to The Paint Dealer, an established magazine serving independent paint and sundries dealers and their corresponding contractors.

Most painters and owners subscribe to painting industry magazines because they want to discover ways to grow their businesses. If that’s the type of information you are looking for right now, I have good news…

When you request the Free Report and Audio CD on this page, The Secret Systems for Easy Repaint Profits, you’ll also receive a complimentary subscription to the Maximum Repaint Profits Report – an industry newsletter from the APPC for painting contractors and a great supplement to our industry magazines.

Richard, I think that publication may be in transition for re-launch, but I’ll tell you I haven’t seen any significant difference in tactics and strategies that work in Canada and those that work in the states. Are you looking for something “Canada-Specific?” If so, why?

Looking for information on commercial paint contractors purchase habits, pain points, channel usage. Where might I find that? Thanks so much!

Nowhere laying around for free I’d imagine. You’ll have to do your research directly or work with someone who’s marketed to this vertical for a long time. Best of luck!

“Our first campaign reached $60,041.98! That's a huge percentage of our annual sales! You don't pick the peach orchard just one time. Different peaches ripen every day. Thanks for encouraging us to keep after it!”

“15 requests for quotes and closed and/or completed $23,000 of work and I still have a few more to do. Conservatively this campaign will net $25,000 in found money in the first 45 days! Thanks Brandon!”

“This year has been the biggest year of growth for us. We're double where we were last year. I realized the real money in this business is in the marketing of the services - not the doing of the services.”
