Painting Contractor Marketing for 2015: Part Two

Listen While You Work: Part Two – Why Thinking Bigger Is Better in Painting

Success Magnet

When you are thinking about growing your business in the New Year, it can be overwhelming. It is very difficult to know where to start.

One of the biggest reasons painters get “stuck” in the planning process is because they do not have a framework for succeeding. In fact, most business owners have never been taught a formal method for planning.

We have been told planning is sitting down in a room and “coming up with a bunch of ideas.” While this is better than doing nothing at all, in many ways this can actually create more problems than you already have.

In this second part of our audio series, we are going to be discussing why thinking bigger is better in painting. Specifically, we are going to examine what has been referred to as the natural planning model.

I have used this model to get “unstuck” in a number of businesses and while working on a number of projects. It helps you take a bigger look at what’s important, but it also allows you to “boil down” an endless list of possibilities into an actionable group of items.

In our next installment, we’ll be covering Part Three: The Devil Is in the Details.

This is where we’ll identify key metrics and measurements in your business that can be “tweaked” and “improved” slightly to make huge profits in your business.

“Our first campaign reached $60,041.98! That's a huge percentage of our annual sales! You don't pick the peach orchard just one time. Different peaches ripen every day. Thanks for encouraging us to keep after it!”

“15 requests for quotes and closed and/or completed $23,000 of work and I still have a few more to do. Conservatively this campaign will net $25,000 in found money in the first 45 days! Thanks Brandon!”

“This year has been the biggest year of growth for us. We're double where we were last year. I realized the real money in this business is in the marketing of the services - not the doing of the services.”
